Where I come from and what I do

I run product for the cross-border payments squad at belo, a LatAm fintech with 3.5M+ users. Before that I led its mobile engineering for four years.

I got here from the code side. I led the rewrite of the belo app from Flutter to React Native in five months and then ran the frontend and mobile teams. In 2026 I moved into product, and most of the job turned out to be finding things nobody was looking at: a payment rail whose take rate had halved, a revenue metric off by 96% because it read from the wrong table, a four-year analytics contract priced at twice the tool we already had.

Day to day I write the roadmap and OKRs for my squad, run planning for teams without a tech lead, take payment-provider integrations from kickoff to production in new countries, and do my own analysis in SQL before asking anyone to build anything. A good part of that work runs on AI agents I set up and maintain myself. On the side I build i1n, a localization tool for React and React Native.

Where I've worked and what changed because of it

  1. belo - Technical Product Manager Feb 2026 - Present

    Own the roadmap and OKRs for the cross-border payments squad of a regulated fintech with 3.5M+ users. My OKR format became the company standard for every squad.

    • Found a ~50% drop in the take rate of a payment rail that nobody had flagged; the analysis triggered the pricing review.
    • Caught a revenue metric that was off by 96% (wrong source table), found the right source and documented it company-wide.
    • Stopped a four-year analytics contract priced at twice the incumbent tool and led the evaluation of alternatives.
    • Took a new-country payment integration from kickoff to internal release in 11 days, with account opening in about 4 seconds.
    • Turned a one-off regulatory requirement into a reusable localization capability, shipped the same day.
    • Run planning and architecture decisions for a squad without a tech lead.

  1. belo - Frontend & Mobile Lead Feb 2022 - Feb 2026

    Led the frontend and mobile teams of a fintech operating in several countries, from the first React Native commit to a team running two app stores.

    • Led the rewrite of the belo app from Flutter to React Native: 3.5M users, five months.
    • Built and managed the frontend and mobile teams: hiring, 1:1s, performance reviews, mentoring.
    • Owned mobile architecture and performance on iOS and Android.
    • Shipped the web side too: SEO, the BeloPay transaction web app and an internal compliance dashboard.

  1. i1n (side project) Feb 2026 - Present

    Localization infrastructure for React and React Native stacks that decouples translation management from deploy cycles. Solo: product, backend, frontend, CLI and npm package.

    Frontend developer on Zonaprop and Imovelweb, high-traffic real estate platforms built with React. Worked in agile teams on user experience and performance.

  1. Aconpy Feb 2021 - May 2021

    Sole frontend developer of Paiddly, a virtual wallet. Owned the project from the first line of code to design decisions and deployment.

Localization-as-code platform. Translation files live in the repo as the source of truth: versioned, diffable and reviewable like any other code. Landing site, web dashboard and an npm CLI, all built solo.

Translation through AI models, generated TypeScript definitions and integration with AI coding agents (Cursor, Claude Code, Windsurf). Supports JSON, ARB, XML, .strings and YAML.

Crypto and fiat wallet with 3.5M+ users, built with React Native for Android and iOS. I led the full rewrite from Flutter to React Native in five months.

Managed the engineering team and the release process to both app stores. Stack: React Native, MobX, Axios, Jest.
